Georgia Cosmetology/ Beauty Schools and Esthetics Programs
Hi nosey! :) Ok so, I had some time and I decided to research information for people who are branching out into the beauty industry, and are looking for resources. I know what it’s like to waste time digging around the vast web of confusion for answers to basic questions, especially for the state of Georgia. A lot of what they have on the state board’s website can be very … vague. Which in turn leaves room for a lot of loopholes and gray areas (that frustration will be addressed in another blog post, another day).
So, below is a list I compiled of beauty schools, cosmetology schools, and esthetic programs that are currently ACTIVELY LICENSED in, and directly outside of, the metro Atlanta area. The emphasis is important, because you don’t want to spend your money and time in an unlicensed program , only to be denied the chance to sit for your state board test. That’s no bueno. Please don’t take this as a comprehensive list, as there may be a couple schools that are not showing depending on how far outside of the Atlanta perimeter they’re located. This list is up to date as of today, but if you ever need to verify a school or beauty salon, here is the direct link to Georgia State Board licensing division . Whatever school you decide to attend, please make sure to verify their accreditation. Also be clear about their tuition costs, schedule, requirements , and courses. Ask LOTS of questions!
